brunch in tel aviv

after a few very rainy days finally the sun came out today morning and we could make it to the beach in tel aviv. :) it really felt like the beggining of the summer, the roads were busy and we thought, that everybody else in the center of the country had the same idea to have a breakfast/ lunch/ coffe at the harbour of... tel aviv. it was full with families, running children and bikers. :) we had a lots of fun!

desert days

Two weeks ago, we had a great time in the desert - take a look! :)

We made a short hiking to the desert on the third day and at a special spot we searched for the shark teeth, and other stones. Shlomi found one in the beginning.

after the chanukka dinner and the candle lighting together with the family, yesterday evening we went to see the movie "where the wild things are" but at the counter they said it is only played at 00:30... so we didn´t stay til then, but went to buy some christmas presents in superpharm and max brenner chocolate bar (the best!) and took a dvd "sunshine cleaning" and had a great evening in our living room. :) yesterday was a really relaxing day like sunday ;) - i baked a pumpkin, ginger, nuts cake and it dissapeared til the evening completely. :)
kiko and reni asked about what we celebrate. yes we celebrate both chanukka and christmas, this year i am going home (unfortunatelly) alone but we will have a great time in hungary with my family :) i can´t wait! i think it will be always like that, that christmas time will be in hungary. chanukka is mostly a few weeks before chirstams, and it fits perfect together! :)

Today we are lighting the first candle of chanukka. It is the feast of lights. We celebrate in the next 8 days and there will be lots of sufganiot (=donouts)... Chag Sameach! Happy Chanukka!

we just arrived from our 3 our night biking to the beach and back. roi invited us to join this biking group. they meet every tuesday and bike this track. it was crazy, very speedy, hard but i really enjoyed. somehow i have to get back in shape! now my muscles are hurtig all over, but such a good feeling that i could do it. :) do you like biking? what was your own record? sleep good!

Desert days

Today we are heading to the middle of nowhere in the Negev desert for the whole weekend...
We stay in the Desert Days eco hotel - what is actually no hotel... You will see more next week! I will write more often from now on! ;) Have a good weekend!

Happy

After more than a month of renovations: we moved in this weekend! :) I am very happy! We are far from beeing ready, but we have a lot of new ideas and it slowly starts to feel like home. It is a completely different place then before! We moved some walls, painted the brown wooden seeling to white, renovated the old walls, painted them, build a complete kitchen, put tiles, put electricity, renovated the waterpipes, renovated the old tiles in the bathroom, bought 2nd hand furniture, cleaned, cleaned, reorganized the balcony - and that´s all alone (only Shlomi´s father, best friend and his wife helped us a few times) - it is great to sit down and see all of this! Theese things I love the most: our white ceramics sink in the kitchen, the balcony with the couch, the living/ dining room and the white seeling everywhere! :)
